Honestly, I don't want them coming into our house and messing with anything. If you are reading this on your phone, tablet, or on a computer, and any personnel from Ontario Consumers is in your home right now -- kick them out immediately. I apologize for the lack/delay of response, as my only intention on redflagdeals' forums was to inform everyone about this unethical company. First and foremost, I want to thank you for your compliment; I felt uneasy going through their field test and felt a true sickening feeling from such unethical acts.
I am sorry that you had to go through such misery. Do not ever get stuck in one of these contracts. Customer service if you want to call it that is absolutely awful. We have sold our house and are moving out of the city. It has been impossible to have anyone call us about cancelling our account. They make you leave a message and promise to call you back the next business day only to never receive the call back.

Look for the CBC piece that exposed this companies shady business practices. Basically all the 5 star reviews are FAKE and paid for. You can cancel a contract for any reason within 10 days of receiving a written copy of the agreement. The rep informed us on the phone that we could have our furnace replaced with a new one for a rental charge of $104.99 a month for 120 months. We accepted the offer and on Aug. 12/22, a crew from Toronto arrived, installed and tested the new furnace and left the same day. A few days later I noticed water on the furnace and called number they had left me.

I contacted several A/C companies for an estimate to replace my air conditioning system. I found Ontario Consumers Home Services was very professional and knowledgeable. They didn't just try and sell me a system, but spent a lot of time explaining the differences in the systems available today. I am really satisfied with our new system and when they finished the job they asked if I would have any problems referring them to others. It is nice to know there are still quality people and contractors who do what they say and take the time to do a quality job. Had new air conditioner installed by Ontario Consumers Home Services in 2009. They had a rep look at unit and all we got what was wrong from duct work to unit installed by electric company. What was not taken into consideration was the high electric bills we had. I am sure many have received the same experience with their services guys. Your poster and message gave me remarkable confidence to deal with them and I just want to let other victims knowing that don't be scared, protect your own right. Despite signing a contract, I believe there may be a leeway if you could prove that you were given false information prior to signing by OCHS. In other words, you were not under a reasonable state to sign such contract, which is would be very easy to prove.
